Sony Xperia Touch can turn almost any surface into a touchscreen. Amazing isn’t it! As per Sony Xperia Touch, you can turn any smooth or flat surface into a touchscreen as large as 23 inches.

How does it work?

Sony Xperia Touch runs on Android 7.0 and it detects movement using infrared light and a built-in camera. It makes the flat surface like the screen of your tablet and you can use lots of compatible app on it. You can download tons of good apps and games from Google Play to be played and used on any surface like a table top or floor or countertop.  You can play games and music and create documents.

It is a very portable device because of its small size and lightweight. You can easily move it around your house or take it to your office.

What are some limitations of the Sony Xperia touch?

Xperia is easy and comfortable to use but you can face some issue in its response time. Also, it only works on the smooth and flat surface. Although it is claimed that you can turn any surface into your tablet but the truth is that it won’t work at all on a textured surface.

The battery life, however, is not that impressive or desired. It is just 1.5 hours and to make this device perfect Sony should work on this limitation. However, you can use it easily by plugging the power in after regular intervals.

Can you use it to make home cinema?

Well, this is the most amazing feature or use of the touch device. You can turn it and place vertically to project the display on a smooth white wall and turn it into your tablet. The default size of the projected screen is 23 inch but can be increased to 80 inches, making it perfect for watching movies or doing an amazing presentation.

The sound quality is amazing because of its two-way stereo speakers. It also has a USB-C and an HDMI-D type input. You can plug in your phone, laptop and other relevant devices to it. This way it can also be used as a normal projector as well, by accessing your computer or phone through it even on walls.


Sony Xperia Touch is an amazing device and is very useful as well. You can use it around the house, kids can play games, and you can listen to music. It is also very useful in group usage. It is, however, a very expensive gadget as you can guess. The price for this magical gadget is around $1694. Every new technology when introduced is usually heavy in the pocket but the Sony Xperia is way out of an affordable budget.
