Face Book’s new AR glasses:

The new patent by Facebook has created quite a stir with its description. Which according to sources states that “the device may augment views of a physical, real-world environment; with computer-generated elements” also “may include an eyewear with frame and a display assembly that presents media to a user’s eyes”?
This description clearly indicates that Facebook is definitely working on new AR glasses. Which is very exciting, as any new generation technology integration with popular software is?

What are the features of the new AR glasses?

  • ·         The pair of glasses will have a display that has a two-dimensional scanner
  • ·         The augmented reality glasses will let users interact and see the virtual objects layered on top of real objects
  • ·         These Oculus VR glasses are designed to compete with Microsoft Hololens and Snapchat spectacles
  • ·         These smart glasses will be using waveguide display to project light onto the users adding images and videos to the user’s Vision

How the Facebook AR glasses work?

AR, as compared to VR, is based on overlaying computer-generated sound, videos, and images over real-world content. In Facebook AR glasses, the waveguide display uses scanning mirrors, lasers, and other elements to present sound and images. The videos and images will be displayed or projected to the user's eyes by the light emitted to the display through a laser. In future, the users will also experience the sound coordinated through the headphones or earphones

What is Spaces?

The new social platform with the name of spaces has been recently launched by Facebook Oculus Rift Headset. Using this you can interact with other users and even post photographs and live videos to your Facebook profile.

Spaces App has been described by Facebook as a virtual environment where you can interact with friends as if in the same physical space.
