How to add your old photos to new stories?

Recently many apps like Facebook, Instagram and snap chat added a feature where you can make your own unique and special stories including pictures. This feature is provided to give users a personalized experience so that they enjoy the experience of using the apps.
Although you can easily add new pictures in the stories of all these applications, however, there are many older pictures which have significant value and you would want to add them to your stories as well.

How to add old pictures to Snapchat?

When you open Snapchat, you will see a circle that indicates that you can take images to be added to your stories. There is a small bubble under the circle, click it to open pictures already taken from your camera.
Now scroll the pictures available and select the one you want to add to your stories. You will be asked to edit it if you want. If you want to edit it, all the editing features will be opened for you to apply them. After that, you can add the pictures to your story by clicking the blue arrow. The only glitch is that the old photos will have a white border and people will know that these are older pictures. Other than that it will be no problem.

How to add pictures to Instagram?

Doing the same thing on Instagram is somewhat similar to that of snap chat. On Instagram, you can only save and post pictures which are 24 hours old. To post pictures older than that, you will have to save them again.
Open your Instagram app and then the camera button on the upper left-hand corner. Open the face icon and select the flash icon to see your pictures.

Select the photo you want to display and you can edit it before posting. After editing you can post it in your story. The only issue is that even while you edit the photo, you can’t control the way it is displayed. The older pictures will get cut if they don’t fit in the frame completely. Other than that you can easily add the edited pictures within 24 hours.

How to add old pictures to Facebook?
Just like the other two popular social media platforms, you can add older pictures to Facebook stories without anyone realizing, whether the photos are old or new.

Facebook is probably the most popular of these platforms and we share thousands of pictures with our friends and in stories. It is very easy to add new pictures to stories as you just have to use the icon at the top of your app to create a story. You can also add filters and stickers while editing the photos to be added to stories. By selecting “Add” you can open older pictures into Facebook app. You can select and edit and share them in new stories as well.


Now you don’t have to worry about sharing your special “older” moments with your friends or your followers. Make your memories more special and memorable by sharing them in stories and with people in your social circle.
